However, many contractors, tired of callbacks and complaints due to checked, warped, twisted and split beams are now asking for a better product. Disdero's 1&Btr Douglas Fir timbers are all FOHC, selected for appearance, and kiln dried to 19% or less 1" in from all 4 surfaces. Far more stable than green timbers, this kiln dried product greatly reduces fiber movement and most of the problems associated with it.
